Liggets Hill (IRE)

Liggets Hill was desperately unlucky not to make a winning hurdles debut when narrowly beaten at Auteuil last year.

She cruised round and went into the final hurdle three lengths ahead but, unfortunately, she made her only serious error at the last. Despite coming away from the last three lengths behind, she battled back to go down by just a neck.

She went through a growth spurt in the following months so we brought her back to Britain to Tom George’s Cotswolds base for a holiday.

We’re so glad we did as she thrived and is now much stronger. We were pleased with the way she ran on her return from her summer break at Auteuil in October and we’re looking forward to seeing what she can do. The ground can’t be soft enough for her, so she should have loads of opportunities throughout the winter months.
